Oh you have just reminded me of a weird dream wherein I joined Sigur Ros but I was kicked out of the band because I couldn’t pronounce the name.

I once had a post-gig conversation with a member of Sigur Rós and a member of Amina about how to pronounce the name. It was a bizarre, alcohol fuelled thing of which I am sketchy on the details. I think it’s phonetically kinda like this… Siggerus. And I vaguely recall it being something to do with victory and also one of the band members sisters names. I think.
